Gazing Into The Crystal Ball: The LeBron Predictions

This is my prediction for LeBron James until 2015. First off, NBA Free Agency where will he sign?

The Chicago Bulls will sign LeBron James. The reason why is that it gives him the best chance to win a title right away. Also, I think Chicago will do a sign and trade and get Chris Bosh.

Why would LeBron change his number to 6? Chicago is the only team that has # 23 retired. LeBron would fit perfectly in Chicago.

Here is how LeBron James career will go until 2015. First, let's start off with the awards.

LeBron will win 2 MVP awards in 5 years. Why only 2 for LeBron? Remember, Kevin Durant barely lost the MVP this year to LeBron James. I think he sneaks in and steals one or more from LeBron.

LeBron will win 1 NBA Championship in the next 5 years. Some people might be suprised I only say 1, but LeBron has choked at every chance he gets in the playoffs. I think he breaks through and wins one.

Will LeBron stay with the team he signs or will he go to another team after his contract expires? I think he will stay with the Chicago Bulls at least until 2015.

How fun it will be to watch what LeBron James does this summer.

Gilbert Arenas to the Knicks?

Since the Wizards won the NBA Draft Lottery and will take John Wall, where does that leave Gilbert Arenas? You know Washington wants Wall to be the starting point guard instead of Arenas to get more fans to watch there games.

I think there is one team that could take a chance on Gilbert Arenas, the New York Knicks. Think about it, Arenas would start right away and help there offense a lot. You know the Knicks would rather have Gilbert Arenas then Chris Duhon.

Could adding Arenas to the Knicks make them a playoff contender? I think that is actually possible. Putting Gilbert Arenas along side David Lee and Tracy McGrady could make the Knicks a scary team to cover on the defensive side.

Trading for Gilbert Arenas could put them all the way up to 2nd place in there division. The Knicks might even finish first in there division if some key guys form the Boston Celtics Ray Allen & Kevin Garnett retire if they win a second championship.

Arenas going to the New York Knicks could make them a scary team to face next year.

Bad Fit: John Wall & Washington Wizards

The Washington Wizards won the NBA Lottery. So, that probably means John Wall is going to be a Washington Wizard.

Well, I think this is one of the worst situations for John Wall. Will the Wizards make John Wall sit behind Gilbert Arenas? Remember, Gilbert Arenas is due to come back next year and play for the Washington Wizards.

Here are the reasons why this is a very bad situation for John Wall. He might have to sit behind Gilbert Arenas and play off the bench. If John Wall wants to be like LeBron James and try to globalize himself, Washington is not that big of a sports market. That could mean no big free agents like Chris Bosh, LeBron James, and Amare Stoudemire come and try to play along John Wall.

Could John Wall refuse to play for Washington? I think there might be a good chance of that happening. If John Wall doesn't want to play for the Wizards, a trade with the New Jersey Nets might be possible.

The new majority owner of the New Jersey Nets, Mikhail Prokhorov wants John Wall badly. Also, part owner of the New Jersey Nets, Jay-Z wants him too.

New Jersey could trade thier first and second round pick in the upcoming NBA Draft to jump up and take John Wall.

New Jersey is moving to Brooklyn, which is one of the biggest marketing cities in the United States. This could entice Wall to refuse to play for Washington and get traded to New Jersey.

If John Wall gets drafted by the Washington Wizards, he might not be with them for long.

Best Fit For LeBron James is the Clippers

LeBron James could make a dynasty for the other team in Los Angeles, the Clippers. They have the talent if he came. Baron Davis, Eric Gordon, Chris Kaman, and Blake Griffin. Bringing LeBron James into that team would make them better then the Lakers.

Picture LA with LeBron and Kobe playing for different teams, but in the same city. Could that change the landscape of LA with the Clippers being better then the Lakers. You might finally see some celebrities at Clippers games if LeBron comes.

The Clippers curse might finally end with LeBron coming. Kobe would be dethroned in LA and LeBron would be the king of LA basketball.

Him and Baron Davis would be a 1-2 punch which would be hard to contain. Adding in Kaman, Gordon, and Griffin this could be a dynasty.

If LeBron wants to win a championship and wants to be in a major city for marketing. The Los Angeles Clippers is the place.

2010 NFL Thanksgiving Games: Finally Some Good Games

Thanksgiving always involves a little bit of football and this year is no different. As usual the Detroit Lions and Dallas Cowboys will be in it. This year's games might actually be some good games. The last few years every Thanksgiving game has been a blowout.

The first game would be the Detroit Lions versus the New England Patriots. This is the only game that could be a blowout. The Lions should be improved this year though by drafting Ndamukong Suh and Jahvid Best in the NFL draft.

The next game is Dallas hosting New Orleans. This could be the game of Thanksgiving. Last year Dallas shocked New Orleans and ruined thier perfect season.

Then the primetime game of Thanksgiving is New York Jets versus Cincinnati Bengals. In the final game of the regular season the Jets shut out the Bengals. Hopefully this will be better. Finally Thanksgiving football will be fun to watch this year.

49ers: Best Draft of 1st Round

I think the 49ers had the smartest draft last night adding two offensive lineman, Anthony Davis and Mike Iupati. They made a statement that Alex Smith is there quarterback. They traded up two spots to #11 for there first pick to draft Anthony Davis then staying at #17 drafting Mike Iupati.

Anthony Davis is a young left tackle who will start right away for San Francisco. Mike Iupati is a great run blocker and goes hard every play. Both of them fit into the 49ers offensive scheme of running the ball with Frank Gore. Both will be starters for the 49ers.

Anthony Davis slipped a little bit due to lazyness on some plays, but I think Mike Singletary will get the most out of him. Mike Iupati is a better fit for the 49ers due to his run blocking ability. If Iupati can improve his pass blocking ability he will be a pro bowler. I

f you're a 49ers fan don't whine about not drafting Jimmy Clausen. Alex Smith is a good quarterback and will improve with Davis and Iupati. If Alex Smith had a offensive line he would not be considered a bust.

San Francisco 49ers, you had the best draft picks throught the first round. Mike Iupati and Anthony Davis will keep Alex Smith upright for at least 10 years.

Look for the 49ers to win the NFC West now with addition of Iupati and Davis to thier offensive line.

Tim Tebow, Welcome to Denver

Tim Tebow is now a Denver Bronco and for some reason I think this is a good pick for the Broncos. Tebow fits right into Josh McDaniels offense.

When I saw Denver keep trading down I knew they were going to draft Tim Tebow. Expect Tebow to be competing for the starting quarterback with Kyle Orton and Brady Quinn. If he is not the starting quarterback for Denver expect him to run the Wildcat offense.

Josh McDaniels had a private workout with Tebow before the draft. Tebow can be bring an immediate impact to the Broncos and sell some tickets in Denver.

When Tebow walks into training camp expect him to be the same from Florida. He will be a vocal leader and a role model of how to play football.

I really think Tebow has a shot to be the starting quarterback for Denver. If I were Josh McDaniels start Tebow and make the offense into a spread offense.

Tim Tebow was a smart pick for Denver and will be a great quarterback in the NFL.

Jerry Hughes Future Indianapolis Colt?

Jerry Hughes, defensive end from TCU is a perfect fit of the Indianapolis Colts. He is a Robert Mathis clone. Coming from a relatively small school and weighing under the average weight of defensive ends.

If the Colts are considering taking Hughes I would take him immediatly. If you want someone to help out your depth on the defense get Hughes. He is a physical speciman and averaged over 10 sacks a year while at TCU.

Jerry Hughes would an immediate impact player for the Colts rotating with Mathis and Freeney. Please, Indianapolis Colts get Jerry Hughes.

Brandon Marshall: Savior of the Miami Dolphins

In my AFC division by division predictions I had the Dolphins at 5-11 due to thier lack of offensive firepower. Now they have that firepower and his name is Brandon Marshall.

Now I think the Dolphins are serious threats to win the AFC East. Ever since Brandon Marshall came out of the UCF he has been a monster on the football field. With him in a Dolphins uniform expect the Dolphins to make the playoffs.

Since Brandon Marshall is on the Dolphins expect the Wildcat Offense to go into hibernation for awhile. Just think Ronnie Brown and Brandon Marshall on the same team! That is a scary duo right there.

My record prediction for the Dolphins is now 10-6. Brandon Marshall is the savior of the Miami Dolphins.

Tuesday, April 13, 2010

Tim Tebow Over Jimmy Clausen?

The Buffalo Bills are considering taking Tim Tebow over Jimmy Calusen in this year's NFL Draft. Chan Gailey the Buffalo Bills coach says he wants a mobile quarterback to run his offense.

Jimmy Clausen isn't as mobile as Tebow, but he throws better then Tebow. Tebow even changed his throwing motion before the NFL Combine! You would think you would have changed that before you got to Florida University.

Also, since Chan Gailey wants a mobile quarterback Michael Vick is on the trading block. If I were the Bills if both Tebow and Clausen were still there at #9 I would choose Clausen.

If I were the Bills I would draft Jimmy Clausen then trade future draft picks for Michael Vick to come in and run the Wildcat for Buffalo.

Houston, We Have A Problem

The Houston Astros have started off the season on a bad note. Houston is 0-7 and not looking like anything will change soon with thier horrible play.

Lance Berkman has not played though due to knee surgery. I don't know how they have gotten off to such a bad start with all the talent they have. Even without Lance Berkman for another 2 weeks they still have Carlos Lee, Hunter Pence, and Roy Oswalt.

The Astros have young developing pitching talent, but they have Roy Oswalt holding down the main pitching spot with flawless games. That doesn't help with the overall team play though.

Look for this slump to end when Lance Berkman returns. He is the main offensive weapon for the Astros. If this doesn't change anytime soon look for some huge changes on the Astros roster.

NFL Division By Division Predictions Part 1 AFC

AFC West
1. Chargers 12-4
2. Broncos 5-11
3. Chiefs 4-12
4. Raiders 3-13

Overview: The Chargers will run away with the AFC West title this year. They have a tougher schedule then last year, but the same goes for the other 3 teams which makes thier records worse.

Also, look for the Broncos not to have Brandon Marshall before the season starts. That's why I have the Broncos at 5-11.

AFC East
1. Jets 13-3
2. Patriots 10-6
3. Dolphins 6-10
4. Bills 2-14

Overview: The Jets will win the AFC East due to how much firepower they have over the rest. They just traded for Santonio Holmes and are trying to persuade Jason Taylor to come to the Jets.

The Patriots will make it as a wild card at 10-6. The Reason why I say this, Wes Welker will not be 100% healthy until the middle of the season. He is rehabbing from a torn acl in the final game of the season against the Texans.

The Dolphins and Bills will be dissapointments Chad Henne is getting better, but they have a very tough schedule. They also lost Joey Porter and probably Jason Taylor who our keys to thier defense.

The Bills will draft Jimmy Clausen which I said in my mock draft. Clausen though will get pummeled with the Bills horrible offensive line. Also, look for the Bills to be at the top of the draft next year.

AFC North
1. Ravens 11-5
2. Bengals 9-7
3. Steelers 9-7
4. Browns 3-13

Overview: The Ravens will conquer this division due to thier still strong defense and the development of Joe Flacco. Also, the Ed Reed retirement rumors are false. Ed Reed will return for his 10th season.

The Bengals will have a dissapointing season. Coming off a division title I have them on the brink of missing the playoffs. The reason is thier brutal schedule. They face the Saints, Colts, Patriots, Jets, and Chargers next year. That will be too hard for Bengals fans to watch next year.

The terrible towels will stop waving when the Steelers miss the playoffs for the second straight year. Santonio Holmes was traded to the Jets, which will be a huge blow to thier now pass happy offense.

Then, the Cleveland Browns 3-13 and missing the playoffs again. Well, what do you expect thier the Cleveland Browns.

AFC South
1. Colts 14-2
2. Titans 9-7
3. Texans 8-8
4. Jaguars 7-9

Overview: The Colts will win the AFC South and also homefield advantage. Peyton Manning will have another spectacular year and possible MVP for the fourth time.

The Titans will finish 9-7 mostly behind Chris Johnson. I think Chris Johnson has a chance to get another 2,000 yard season. Look for Vince Young to have a improved season also.

The Houston Texans finish 8-8 after a 9-7 season. Andre Johnson will have another pro bowler season. Look for the Texans to break out of the 8-8 slump in 2011 with a possible playoff berth.

Then the Jaguars,  the only reason I have them at 7-9 is because Maurice Jones-Drew. Look for him to have a possible MVP campaign.

JaMarcus Russell, Worst Draft Pick Ever

April 28, 2007 will go down as one of the worst days in Oakland Raiders history when they drafted JaMarcus Russell. Raider Nation jumped in joy when they selected JaMarcus Russell, big mistake.

Russell was selected in front of people like Calvin Johnson and even Adrian Peterson! He was in a contract dispute with the Raiders in 2007, which made him miss all of training camp. Russell did not start until late in the 2007 season for the Raiders.

Next year, JaMarcus started for the Raiders and got abused by opposing teams' defense. The offensive line for the Raiders was no help, they always are in the top 5 for most sacks allowed. Anyway, it wasn't a good year for JaMarcus Russell.

His third was even worse then the other ones. He lost his starting job to Bruce Gradkowski in the middle of the season. So, he sat on the bench for most of the season.

Then this upcoming year, hopefully won't be so bad for JaMarcus Russell, but it probably will be. He came to Raiders camp weighing in at 290 pounds! Obviously, JaMarcus Russell was one of the worst picks in NFL history.

Dez Bryant Future NFL Star

Dez Bryant could fall in the draft due to his attitude, but whoever he falls to would be a gift for any team. He is a physical specimen compared to Michael Irvin, Randy Moss, and Terrell Owens. Dez has high leaping ability, and can adjust to off-target throws.

Remember the last wide reciever taken with attitude issues, Michael Crabtree and looked how he turned out last season. He was a star for the 49ers last year. Dez Bryant has attitude issues, but he is such a huge talent.

In my first mock draft I have Dez Bryant going to the Jacksonville Jaguars with the #10 pick. I think he will go here because they desperately need a top wide reciever. Sorry Jacksonville, but Mike Sims-Walker isn't a #1 wide reciever. David Garrard should be begging to get Dez Bryant to Jacksonville.

I'm going to make a bold prediction, Dez Bryant will make more then 5 pro bowls in his career. Dez Bryant will be a great wide reciever in the NFL. Teams should overlook his attitude issues, Dez Bryant will be a gift.

McNabb in the Black Hole Soon?

Donovan McNabb could go to the Oakland Raiders. If he does go to Oakland I think it's the best situation for him. He would be loved in Oakland.

He can help make Oakland a possible playoff team down the road. The Black Hole would love him, McNabb jerseys would sell quickly.

Al Davis if he got McNabb might have made his first good move in a long time. If I were Donovan McNabb I would go to Oakland to be loved by a team who needs him badly, the Oakland Raiders.

Butler Back Home?

Just think of the Butler Bulldogs playing minutes away from Hinkle Fieldhouse at the Final Four? If they beat Kansas State tomorrow they would face either Michigan State or Tennessee in the first Final Four matchup.

Butler I believe could beat both of them. Gordon Hayward and Shelvin Mack could dominate both teams from the 3 point line. Also, no one could match up with Matt Howard in the paint either from Tennessee or Michigan State. The team I think Butler could have most trouble with would be Tennessee with there hard-nosed defense.

What if Butler faced Kentucky in the National Championship Game? John Wall and John Calipari vs the hometown heroes Butler Bulldogs. Just think of how much drama would build up for that matchup! I think Butler is this years cinderella team.

Sunday, March 21, 2010

Mauer is a Rich Man

Joe Mauer the catcher for the Minnesota Twins got a 8 year, 185 million dollar extension! I think he deserves it though.

He deserves to be in Minnesota too. He was born there and is a hometown hero. The Twins had to extend Mauer's contract with Target Field now opening.

Well, if I were the Twins GM i would do the exact same thing. Joe Mauer is probably now a top 5 player in the American League and I put him to repeat as MVP next year. Look for Joe Mauer to have his best season next year.

Friday, March 19, 2010

The Boz

Is Brian Bosworth that overrated? All anyone remebers is him getting ran over by Bo Jackson. Bo Jackson could've ran over anybody that try to tackle him.

Anyway, Brian Bosworth had a mouth, a big one. That's what made him The Boz! In 3 years in the NFL he was very good.

I think he was underrated during his time in the NFL. Have you ever seen his highlights when he played at Oklahoma?

He was so good, he won back to back Bednarick Awards. The award is for best linebacker in college.

His hair was awesome too! No one could perfect that like The Boz. For the Brian Bosworth haters out there, he was very good during his football career!

John Wall and John Calipari to Nets?

I wondering if John Wall goes to the NBA after the NCAA Tournament, which he obviously will. Will John Calipari possibly join him in New Jersey?

Well, John Calipari always dashes from schools. The reason why is every team he has coached has gone on probation.

I say after the year he will dash to New Jersey, because possibly his big 3 at Kentucky John Wall, DeMarcus Cousins, and Patrick Patterson will most likely leave.

I say if Kentucky gets eliminated before the Final Four in Indianapolis, John Calipari will take a flight to New Jersey and sign immediatly to possibly play with his Kentucky point guard John Wall. Just think of the Kentucky duo of Wall and Calipari as rookies in the NBA, together again.

Can the Cincinatti Reds Make Some Noise This Year?

They have so much young talent like Aroldis Chapman, Brandon Phillips, and Joey Votto. The Reds should have one of the best pitching rotations in the National League.

Also, they have one of the most underrated 1st basemen in the MLB. His name is Joey Votto and he can hit the ball far. Aroldis Chapman, will he produce this year as the Reds #5 starter? We'll find out this year if he can live up to the hype.

So, don't be suprised to see the Cincinatti Reds make a playoff push this year. Also, I have a message for Bud Selig.

Put Pete Rose in the MLB Hall of Fame! How could you not be in the hall of fame when you single handedly brought the Reds from worst to first and is the all time leader in hits.

Bud, it's Vegas people have fun there like gambling and playing blackjack. Anyway, the Reds should be very good this year.

32 Teams, 32 Predictions part 2/32: Cleveland Browns

Today I will be talking about the Cleveland Browns. Below is my predictions game by game.

Evan Turner Should Go #1 Now

Evan Turner just made a half court buzzer beater to beat thier arch rival Michigan in the Big Ten Tournament. I noticed that in my mind he has to go #1.

Overall I think Evan Turner is better then John Wall. The reason John Wall might go #1 is the hype. He turns the ball over a lot and dishes out a little bit of assists. His main asset is scoring the ball and riving to the rim.

Evan Turner is a triple-double threat every night. He would be a better choice for the New Jersey Nets, because he could team with Devin Harris, Brook Lopez, and Yi Jianlian and make a possible playoff team. If I were the Nets general manager i would definitly draft Evan Turner.

NBA Lottery Mock Draft #2

1. John Wall (Nets) Wall is obviously the #1 player
2. Evan Turner (Timberwolves) The T-Wolves need a star shooting guard and he can fit that
3. Derrick Favors (Warriors) He fits the fast pace Warriors system better then Cousins
4. Demarcus Cousins (Pacers) Cousins fits the defensive minded coach Jim O'Brien's scheme
5. Wesley Johnson (Kings) The Kings won't keep Nocioni after the season they need a forward
6. Al-Farouq Aminu (Jazz) Acquired from New York Knicks, Aminu fits Jerry Sloan's system
7. Ed Davis (Pistons) He's young and not deserving of a lottery pick, Dumars will make a mistake 8. Cole Aldrich (Wizards) Aldrich and McGee would be a great big men tandem
9. Hassan Whiteside (76ers) Whiteside is a terrific shot blocker fits Eddie Jordan's offense
10. Greg Monroe (Clippers) Kaman will probably be traded this summer, Monroe would fit
11. Patrick Patterson (Bulls) Patterson could be a starter next year for the Bulls

Antoine Bethea to Dolphins?

This rumor has been heating up over the past couple of days now and it could happen. The rumor says that the Miami Dolphins would trade thier 12th overal pick for Antoine Bethea. As a colts fan I would actually like this deal.

We would probably draft Rolando McClain or Taylor Mays to fill our defensive holes. The other option would be drafting an offensive lineman to have more depth for thier poor line.

If this deal would happen the Colts would either move Melvin Bullitt to free safety and keep Bob Sanders at strong safety. Then, if they don't want to do that they could draft Taylor Mays with the Dolphins 12th overall pick and put him at free safety.

The Colts can't sign anyone due to finishing in the top 4 teams. So, the Colts would have to trade to acquire players or draft picks. The Colts never make moves, but don't be suprised if this deal actually happens.

Gerald McCoy or Ndmukong Suh?

Right now I'm going to settle the debate of who is the better defensive tackle, Gerald Mccoy or Ndmukong Suh?

Speed: Advantage Gerald McCoy
Strength: Advantage Ndamukong Suh
Pass Rushing Ability: Ndamukong Suh
Run Stopping Ability: Ndamukong Suh

Prediction: Ndamukong Suh 2nd overall pick to Detroit Lions, Gerald McCoy 3rd overall pick to Tampa Bay Bucaneers. Ndamukong Suh outperformed Gerald McCoy at the NFL Scouting Combine and in my categories. Both of these players will be graded against each other until thier careers are over.

Final Four Predictions

These are my four teams in the 2010 Final Four at Lucas Oil Stadium.
1.Kansas
2. Kentucky
3. Purdue
4. Syracuse

So, I say it will be all number 1 seeds again this year in the Final Four. Here are my predictions for the matchups. (Information from ESPN's Bracketology)
Kansas vs Kentucky, Kentucky X Factors: John Wall and Demarcus Cousins
Purdue vs Syracuse, Purdue X Factors: defense and more depth

National Title Game Kentucky vs Purdue, Kentucky
The reason why I have the Wildcats winning the National Title over Purdue is one simple reason, John Wall. I don't see anyone on Purdue who could contain him. When they double-team Wall he just pass it Demarcus Cousins. Even though it will literatly be a home game for the Boilermakers at Lucas Oil Stadium, it will be just be too much for Purdue to overcome against Kentucky. What a coincedence if the Pacers win the lottery and draft John Wall.

T-Mac To Knickerbockers Headlines NBA Trade Deadline Week

1. 3-team deal T-Mac to Knickerbockers, Kevin Martin to Rockets, Carl Landry to Kings
2. Antawn Jamison to Cavs for Zydrunas Illgauskas and 1st round draft pick
3. Marcus Camby to Blazers for Travis Outlaw and Steve Blake
4. Tyrus Thomas to Bobcats for Flip Murray, Acie Law, and 1st round draft pick
5. Nate Robinson to Celtics for Eddie House, J.R. Giddens, and Bill Walker
6. John Salmons to Bucks for Joe Alexander and Hakim Warrick
7. Ronnie Brewer to Grizzlies for 1st round draft pick
8. Primoz Brezec and Royal Ivey to Bucks for Jodie Meeks and Franciso Elson
9. Darko Milicic to Timberwolves for Brian Cardinal

Overall, this was one of the most exciting NBA Trade Deadline weeks ever. Thank goodness I'm going to 4 Pacers games soon 3 out of the 4 teams I'm going to see made a deal.

NBA Finals Prediction

My prediction for the NBA Finals is the Orlando Magic vs Dallas Mavericks. People will be shocked when they here this, but those teams are going to catch fire. The Mavs traded for Caron Butler, Deshawn Stevenson, and Brendan Haywood which will help. The Magic have Dwight Howard and Vince Carter enough said there that good.

On the other hand here are my predictions for this matchup according to the EvanScale.
PG: Kidd vs Nelson, Kidd (Mavericks)
SG: Butler vs Carter, Carter (Magic)
SF: Marion vs Barnes, Marion (Mavericks)
PF: Nowitzki vs Lewis, Nowitzki (Mavericks)
C: Haywood vs Howard, Howard (Magic)

Predictions by the EvanScale Dallas win in a 7 game series.

DeMar Derozan is the True Slam Dunk Champion

It sure didn't feel like anyone showed up to compete in the 2010 Slam Dunk Contest besides DeMar Derozan.

He was definitely robbed of the championship last night. How can you lose when you pull off the only 50 of the night?! I don't think fans should vote -- the judges should decide.

The only reason why Nate Robinson won the dunk contest is because people know him.

Trust me, does anyone know DeMar Derozan anywhere else besides Canada or California? Just because he missed his last dunk, (but then recovered after that) doesn't mean he should lose.

All I have to say is, DeMar Derozan, you were robbed of a slam dunk championship.

Friday, February 12, 2010

Slam Dunk Contest Preview

Shannon Brown, Gerald Wallace, Nate Robinson, and Demar Derozan that is the competition for the Dunk Contest. These are my predictions round by round for the contest tommorow night.
The Rim Scale 1st round
1. Shannon Brown
2. Nate Robinson
